I don't know where this year has gone, I seem to have blinked and missed it.<br />
<br />
I haven't been idle though, I've been making loads of samples for the Tonic shows, doing workshops at home and also at the NEC Hobbycrafts show. Had a wonderful time meeting all the Tonic fans.<br />
<br />
Tonic has launched a new range called Forever Moments. The next launch in this range is the Verona box, you can catch Jodie demoing it on Create and Craft Saturday 22nd November. This is my version of the box<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRhAbWOGTOtsoFgRUEpDsbNGQACTDbpVcQlE68uCIhsTX4eT74GaIZkuGCTvYkJf0P9OtZVmdt_M-0195dVhDcYzxIgBuC8ZXzRiRa0P_khxJ5BlFD-h8IocooG2nGDkXZZOwYUnrvR4lD/s1600/987E_SAMPLE13_1000_RGB.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRhAbWOGTOtsoFgRUEpDsbNGQACTDbpVcQlE68uCIhsTX4eT74GaIZkuGCTvYkJf0P9OtZVmdt_M-0195dVhDcYzxIgBuC8ZXzRiRa0P_khxJ5BlFD-h8IocooG2nGDkXZZOwYUnrvR4lD/s320/987E_SAMPLE13_1000_RGB.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
I wanted to add some fabric to the box, so I covered the drawer fronts and padded the sides and top pelmet piece. I thoroughly enjoy making them, hope you will too.<br />
<br />
Off to bed for me now.<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB1fwuIIv_opvfFZFGQziuWlucctsym2ks20hwwVUCUoHh2Hw22a8i0Gue0m5JgTcrDFAahbl_c8_9p7y6QmvF1KLENNvtc6gNy-2D_Q99R-YW8nYyKmgNjMuZ0-Ixvbsm77AU5ZnNAAtn/s1600/DSCF0937.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB1fwuIIv_opvfFZFGQziuWlucctsym2ks20hwwVUCUoHh2Hw22a8i0Gue0m5JgTcrDFAahbl_c8_9p7y6QmvF1KLENNvtc6gNy-2D_Q99R-YW8nYyKmgNjMuZ0-Ixvbsm77AU5ZnNAAtn/s400/DSCF0937.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I picked up the canvas and easel in The Range very cheaply. I decorated the background of the canvas with Distress Inks and water. I stuck the photo to the canvas using a water based glue. <br />
I used 3d foam pads behind the Oval frame (made using the Tonic Romantic Vine Oval dies set). The lilac strips were punched using the Tonic Twisted Twine Intrica punch, again secured with a water based glue.<br />
<br />
The felt flower at the bottom of the picture was made for me by Kate Richards (part of our design team at Tonic) she's much better with fabric than me, lol. The butterfly was made using our Intrica Butterfly punch and Nan is from our Sentiment range. I finished off with some pearls on a string and punched flowers. <br />
<br />
Don't forget to share your projects with us at Tonic, we love to see what you're creating.<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

So before I spend a day pottering in the garden, I thought I'd share with you a video of how to use the New Header Dies.<br />
<br />
This is a card I made using the dies and the Baby Girl Sentiment<br />
<br />

<br />
Here's a few examples to keep your creative juices going.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvRMJVYZM-nNswcftMm5yKKHRBsK8Nm1yPIqjlo8XoXr1KJYr_VqFBJ_aO9TbVt3f6zgkoFM6gBjBsNF2vdwuKRz9xKGdHwB2yApKDWBkhXsuW5Fffy2CefK7qAFMKYdPkC_dmg0VL2UuU/s1600/DSCF0893.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvRMJVYZM-nNswcftMm5yKKHRBsK8Nm1yPIqjlo8XoXr1KJYr_VqFBJ_aO9TbVt3f6zgkoFM6gBjBsNF2vdwuKRz9xKGdHwB2yApKDWBkhXsuW5Fffy2CefK7qAFMKYdPkC_dmg0VL2UuU/s400/DSCF0893.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I've also used Dies from the Family Sentiment set<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM0swDlZJjtuOVi-4dmUmIjpD21-g9vJKFPiomzSdlJ2qyj7NgkMd4QD9ogi3Yjx0RkH4Y7ttfQPR0IljNHtcns5w8hmphOnpmqZmXABKa-xg06weSEDx7L2iNqxdw0IIPuKVnKZggd0qK/s1600/DSCF0899.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM0swDlZJjtuOVi-4dmUmIjpD21-g9vJKFPiomzSdlJ2qyj7NgkMd4QD9ogi3Yjx0RkH4Y7ttfQPR0IljNHtcns5w8hmphOnpmqZmXABKa-xg06weSEDx7L2iNqxdw0IIPuKVnKZggd0qK/s400/DSCF0899.JPG" /></a></div><br />
Both these cards are made using the same Header die, but achieving a very different look.<br />
<br />
We have a busy week at Tonic this week, Jo will be on Create & Craft on Monday at 11.00 on the Craft Clinic and Jodie will be joining us on Tuesday at 9pm on Ideal World for the Pick of the Day. There will be shows on Ideal World and Create & Craft throughout Wednesday.<br />
<br />
I hope you can join Jo & Jodie for oodles of inspiration.<br />

We've taken the opportunity to sort out our back garden, the patio has been removed I've started white washing the walls and the decking is ready to be re-stained. I'll share some photos when it's finished.<br />
<br />
Thought I'd share some photos of cards made with the Square Sentiments. <br />

<br />
I love working with the Paper Frames from Tonic, they are so versatile. This is a lovely poem and I wanted to make it a bit more special.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7YLGMV-vPEGvhX4pUnibNQkpYGRyGaodwC8LcWncZ_YrZaayT2MqV-MSlY4p1dGaRIi__PP591sDeonbmbK4-XVijn8yWoM9uuRddOUG67XIKwLJ-aiidC9p0Atijs-4KpMXmwtnx37TZ/s1600/DSCF0836.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7YLGMV-vPEGvhX4pUnibNQkpYGRyGaodwC8LcWncZ_YrZaayT2MqV-MSlY4p1dGaRIi__PP591sDeonbmbK4-XVijn8yWoM9uuRddOUG67XIKwLJ-aiidC9p0Atijs-4KpMXmwtnx37TZ/s400/DSCF0836.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The black pattern on the frame is made using the Dotty Lace Intrica Punch, but I've cut it in half widthways to fit the frame. The corners have been mitred. I added some gilding wax around the edge of the frame. <br />
To decorate the frame I've added a gold Frond Finesse and a black ribbon and Petal Pairs rose. With Love comes from our Everyday Sentiments set.<br />
<br />
I hope you're all on the edge of your seats waiting for sneaky peaks of our new launch, which you can see on Create & Craft on Thursday 10th April at 8pm - Yes I do mean 8pm. Jodie will have some stunning designs to share with you.<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

The first is a diorama card in A4 size<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZAYyFzDWf2w5_4BS9piDGITgH_y3sxVs0vKUSkKiShQ21t9-xk2MENWNiIqMnp-qZUnP8X2LUisMJBiq3ehcw_Hr-gbY-YZ-I4ne3iCBwkR4iNEAKr5jwO0F6Dq8BQtrsHD4jpPmXRSPh/s1600/DSCF0859.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZAYyFzDWf2w5_4BS9piDGITgH_y3sxVs0vKUSkKiShQ21t9-xk2MENWNiIqMnp-qZUnP8X2LUisMJBiq3ehcw_Hr-gbY-YZ-I4ne3iCBwkR4iNEAKr5jwO0F6Dq8BQtrsHD4jpPmXRSPh/s400/DSCF0859.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The edges are punched strips using the Tonic Simplicity Star Border Punch. These punches are so easy to use. If you have any problems with strength in your hands and have difficulty punching the Simplicity range are most definitely the ones for you. They have a geared system with reduces the amount of force that's needed to press them handle down. They will also punch card up to 400gsm - which is very thick card!!<br />
Moonglade Wish is such a magical fairy surrounded by the stars. I've cut the whole set of dies out of mirricard then decoupaged the fairy in navy and cut her wings twice from parchment paper, they give a lovely effect. <br />
The leafy sprig is from the Verdent Vines die set and the flowers are cut from parchment paper using the Petal Pairs punches.<br />
Make a Wish comes from the Everyday Sentiments die set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQQcyhRtGAkn1ghiVaFpXOkPH7gmrDdKv5-Kv_Q9kb2XziVwOCLbprbKCLC2rJOEBTlJqwZ5xMr3LqV3YG3NSUULvMYunLgFtCpNy9dWDBdXoqilSaorVjfqzDwEldi3Vr0wlg7x797sM3/s1600/DSCF0872.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQQcyhRtGAkn1ghiVaFpXOkPH7gmrDdKv5-Kv_Q9kb2XziVwOCLbprbKCLC2rJOEBTlJqwZ5xMr3LqV3YG3NSUULvMYunLgFtCpNy9dWDBdXoqilSaorVjfqzDwEldi3Vr0wlg7x797sM3/s400/DSCF0872.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This is a cute little fairy from the Fae Hideaway set, sat on a Pillow Box. I've cut the wings out of acetate and glittered them. The Pillow Box is made using Tonic's Pillow box die set. They are so easy to make and perfect for a little gift for a Special girl. <br />
<br />
I'm off to visit friends in the fabulous Dandie Crafts shop in Pontypridd. It's an Aladdin's cave of craftiness.<br />
<br />
Have a fabulous weekend<br />
Catch up with you soon<br />

This is the first year my Mother's not been with me to celebrate this special day.<br />
<br />
Here's a few Mother's Day projects to inspire you.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWDyHp3VGQtAGxGAEkanG-yQsKGd7xcTdVIco8-ussjC7xaMgTxAxKPdY8WsBE7yfweLsl3acTKr5CFgU7DToQPbzg6hpUELUSC4EYk7HznHiOb17K8amo3cIrQ4Dg61zkGtlGjhw_bkhy/s1600/DSCF0835.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWDyHp3VGQtAGxGAEkanG-yQsKGd7xcTdVIco8-ussjC7xaMgTxAxKPdY8WsBE7yfweLsl3acTKr5CFgU7DToQPbzg6hpUELUSC4EYk7HznHiOb17K8amo3cIrQ4Dg61zkGtlGjhw_bkhy/s400/DSCF0835.JPG" /></a></div><br />
For this project I've used the Tonic Paper frame. Punched four strips approximately 3" longer than the side of the frame, using the Rose Strip punch. I've used Distress inks in brown tones to colour the edge of the frame and the punched strips. Add a photograph to the centre of the frame - this could be a photo of you and your Mum or a vintage photo, as I've chosen. Stick the punched strips onto brown card then adhere to the centre of each side of the frame. Leave the corners unstuck at this point. Cut both the strips at each corner at a 45 degree angle. Then stick down the corners. I always use the Tonic Funky Glue Pen as I find it easy to use. Decorate the frame with the On Mother's Day sentiment from the Tonic Affections die range and some delicate swirls from the Frond Finesse die set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8KBxc3mK-UExugg5bAT6LP9JT55yEfOWdqPZ_V9AjqpEK7T7KxUZoicX8uRdgsb3Uvpth6fDiW-i-SgRUvavU1cvYFLn_-d_nZL6z7PANhOIzbNf4I-KqEbk-m-6hbMiHS0b01fMCFd_g/s1600/DSCF0707.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8KBxc3mK-UExugg5bAT6LP9JT55yEfOWdqPZ_V9AjqpEK7T7KxUZoicX8uRdgsb3Uvpth6fDiW-i-SgRUvavU1cvYFLn_-d_nZL6z7PANhOIzbNf4I-KqEbk-m-6hbMiHS0b01fMCFd_g/s400/DSCF0707.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This is an A5 card. I've used the Tonic Affection die range and extended the heart base dies with the Tiara Corner dies. Then finished it off with some ribbon and pearls. I am having a problem at the moment with getting my self adhesive pearls to stay on my cards, so now I put a tiny spot of glue from the Funky Glue pen and I no longer have a problem.<br />
<br />
Have a fabulous day tomorrow, <br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

I'm getting ready for another busy day at Tonic HQ - Woo Hoo!!<br />
<br />
Jodie will be on TV today with some fabulous goodies to share with you at 3pm & 6pm, catch her if you can.<br />
<br />
As well as card making, I like to get the most out of my dies, so I've added our beautiful Fae Hideaway to the front of a book.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9COC5vboT7lfMVSc76LpBe1B5PR0ec_TEdras_22I4CTMVtdrhSRsLOCTosmxHRP98RBKo97qF3SPc_HZmQnRzuR7-9OB6njmhQU680ejsd8VIULdI5efba90syD9xmW7Zl-VEawZmnsK/s1600/DSCF0860.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9COC5vboT7lfMVSc76LpBe1B5PR0ec_TEdras_22I4CTMVtdrhSRsLOCTosmxHRP98RBKo97qF3SPc_HZmQnRzuR7-9OB6njmhQU680ejsd8VIULdI5efba90syD9xmW7Zl-VEawZmnsK/s400/DSCF0860.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The book is a very inexpensive hard cover book - in fact it was four for a pound in a pound store. I covered the book using paper from our Butterfly Beautiful card set. I punched out a strip using Elegant Drape border punch. Cut a piece of acetate to fit behind the faerie's wings and added glitter. Then added a ribbon & pearls.<br />
<br />
I think it's a pretty book for only a few pennies, any little girl of big girl for that matter would love it.<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

Just a quick post tonight to let you know I will be demoing in Bizzy Fingers at The Aberafan Centre, Port Talbot tomorrow from 10.30am. If you're free. pop in and say hello. I'd love to meet you.<br />
<br />
I never get around to sharing as many cards as I'd like with you lately. Time seems to run away with me. So I thought I'd pick out a few for you to see.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhop0PZ0zIqIXeC9H6-G8ASpphrfERK7UI3Hx3djTqfTB8lDyHoJjlTNcvZ0b7lp7P_CQSVh47TE3-ecW5DZvyv7tmIn5c_X9-QqSZ4pvj4DUF8JuzuprBhwF3qtNlovh2kIeRMVv29IfCT/s1600/DSCF0710.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhop0PZ0zIqIXeC9H6-G8ASpphrfERK7UI3Hx3djTqfTB8lDyHoJjlTNcvZ0b7lp7P_CQSVh47TE3-ecW5DZvyv7tmIn5c_X9-QqSZ4pvj4DUF8JuzuprBhwF3qtNlovh2kIeRMVv29IfCT/s400/DSCF0710.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This card was made using the Tonic Affection die set with the Mother's Day sentiment, Verdent Vine and of course some Petal Pair roses<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi295jTo09LY9Yc1qXsB30u9xQG6-jVL7diJ_h9oyEPsS6px8hZq9kwu-syqxHVrZERdlFIgKz5MhbzrFRtFS-AXg2MMhqrdONfSC8rCxPGfIyS82KT4LYChjq8PXfL3eP4iU2C_DE0PsSF/s1600/DSCF0777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi295jTo09LY9Yc1qXsB30u9xQG6-jVL7diJ_h9oyEPsS6px8hZq9kwu-syqxHVrZERdlFIgKz5MhbzrFRtFS-AXg2MMhqrdONfSC8rCxPGfIyS82KT4LYChjq8PXfL3eP4iU2C_DE0PsSF/s400/DSCF0777.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I've used the Emily frame die on this card. I like to use two similar colours with my dies to give a little shadow and make the design pop. The Cameo is a stamp I've had in my stash for many years.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6OJCenjoXSWkxRwNx7-X9C2WusdO1dEwjqMUd7c9TWcWKDEcw8O0qeds22JwUlewH-Xox6_UmF7B0WuW049eK-deR5xecsYfXEbq_xND0qMkI1x9CfgP_eBuSUX0sUsRyW2JLc7Q7CRoJ/s1600/DSCF0846.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6OJCenjoXSWkxRwNx7-X9C2WusdO1dEwjqMUd7c9TWcWKDEcw8O0qeds22JwUlewH-Xox6_UmF7B0WuW049eK-deR5xecsYfXEbq_xND0qMkI1x9CfgP_eBuSUX0sUsRyW2JLc7Q7CRoJ/s400/DSCF0846.JPG" /></a></div><br />
Here's a bit of ribbon stitching using the Blossom Bracket die. A very simple card, but I think it works.<br />
<br />
I'm going to love and leave you now<br />
Hugs<br />

<br />
Hope you're all enjoying the Tonic shows on Create & Craft. Jodie will be on Ideal World today with the Pick of the Day, hope you can join her.<br />
<br />
I appreciate not everyone is into faeries, so I designed this card with that in mind - there's not a faerie in sight.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUIv8Sy74Y7ndApAfZbmdYB2aUxYfLEZnKF3FEbPE2a_LtYOaBrp2z2sRb_75ct02OSguSM8AESKPjTjCOs-IbpwTGBHLS7VdiTQwPQwdYEgjvD0_ZgIlLUKriRDx_3jgSLRR7APJBJ7p0/s1600/DSCF0870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUIv8Sy74Y7ndApAfZbmdYB2aUxYfLEZnKF3FEbPE2a_LtYOaBrp2z2sRb_75ct02OSguSM8AESKPjTjCOs-IbpwTGBHLS7VdiTQwPQwdYEgjvD0_ZgIlLUKriRDx_3jgSLRR7APJBJ7p0/s400/DSCF0870.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This is an 8x8" scalloped card. The background is embossed using our Roseanne embossing folder. The corners are so elegant and are from Ivy Bridge corner set. The centre design is from the Fae Hideaway set - I've cut the side without the faerie twice and I love the effect it gives. I'll certainly be using this over and over again. I've inked most of the die cuts with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - I think it's Vintage photo.<br />
<br />
The Birthday Wishes is also a Tonic die from the Everyday Sentiments set. I've cut out two die shapes. one in caramel and another in cream, glued them together but slightly offset them to give a shadow effect.<br />
<br />
The card is finished off with a rather large Silky Crush bow. I love this ribbon. I can't believe there's not a pearl or gem in sight, lol.<br />
<br />
Have a fabulous day, I'm off to work to do some playing, he he!!<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

I wanted to make a project with all the Faeries, so I decided to make a lantern. It`s lit with a battery operated candle.<br />

This is an 8x8" card. I've used the Eternal Glade Fairy & Verso Corner die set. Behind the wings I've place some vellum and glitter on the fairy. I've finished off with some mini flower punched shapes and gems.<br />
<br />
Have a Magical day<br />

<br />
Here's a few cards using the Rose Circle die set to share with you<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk21DftT61pJ_rSiyaSMit4PNS4aaMFTEZ7xwGV1X0eiBMbxr0yZ7-sPLYW2btmqAXYJsnhAOgqswh2-vXBfaRzg_tvI6-ub9SM_n8rqkp1Jpf_OWQkS9b2shi9ouqiY3Kj1TCiGAW8LSM/s1600/DSCF0834.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk21DftT61pJ_rSiyaSMit4PNS4aaMFTEZ7xwGV1X0eiBMbxr0yZ7-sPLYW2btmqAXYJsnhAOgqswh2-vXBfaRzg_tvI6-ub9SM_n8rqkp1Jpf_OWQkS9b2shi9ouqiY3Kj1TCiGAW8LSM/s400/DSCF0834.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This is a 6 x 6" card. I've cut the outer and middle die from the Rose Circle die set in lemon and used a lilac card to back it. The corners are cut from the small Pansy Arch die and finished off with a ribbon, Petal Pair Rose and some gold self adhesive gems.<br />
<br />
My second card is also made using the same die set, but they are very different cards.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigQqDbQJelE6sVQLOQH9GCMg9X_dGfBUmp4CiEWbsUwIHncXO08GiIxXwDZdA_hOGM_IBtbPfkTvjFvPiVo4NdW6B2mQz7X4rXAoxvfFfRy65i1oo96ELLxL3Ry4VhmqIMaGUimrerSiiT/s1600/DSCF0832.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigQqDbQJelE6sVQLOQH9GCMg9X_dGfBUmp4CiEWbsUwIHncXO08GiIxXwDZdA_hOGM_IBtbPfkTvjFvPiVo4NdW6B2mQz7X4rXAoxvfFfRy65i1oo96ELLxL3Ry4VhmqIMaGUimrerSiiT/s400/DSCF0832.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This is an 8 x 8" card. I cut four strips in silver card using the Rose Circle Border Punch. I glued the strips to the edges of the card leaving the corners free. I then mitred the corners and stuck them down. <br />
<br />
I cut 3 white Rose Circle dies. Then 2 silver and 1 white backing plate. I cut in half the 2 Rose circles with silver backing and stuck to a 7 x 7 " piece of white card. The centre topper is raised on 3D foam pads and finished off with 2 Frond Finesse die cuts, a white bow and a For You sentiment from the Pillow Box die set.<br />
<br />
Hope you'll be able to join Jodie on Create & Craft for a Magical launch on Friday 14th March at 8am. <br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

Oh no does that mean I have to stop crafting to do some spring cleaning!!!!<br />
<br />
Today I`m going to share with you an idea for a gift box for Mother's Day. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpyklrskofQjf-4ZIiHV0R_308UMQ8PevZQiVDN9rU4H2pNUUCsZBpBLbf8Ar3Df4t64HoLOFysVXMNSli8Wn0AssuHoPqDSHStz5TfK45CTUC6vloD6KeTiNR5xx9FVN4T-4ki_T5rt6u/s1600/DSCF0831.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpyklrskofQjf-4ZIiHV0R_308UMQ8PevZQiVDN9rU4H2pNUUCsZBpBLbf8Ar3Df4t64HoLOFysVXMNSli8Wn0AssuHoPqDSHStz5TfK45CTUC6vloD6KeTiNR5xx9FVN4T-4ki_T5rt6u/s400/DSCF0831.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The box was made from the Crafter's Companion Sweet Treats embossing board. To decorate the edges of the box I punched some strips in grey using the Tonic Dotty Lace Intrica Punch. Because the sides of the box are sloping I was unable to wrap the punched strip around the box. So I cut four strips a little longer than the side of the box and trimmed them to size.<br />
<br />
The handle was made from another punched strip approximately 12" in length. I glued this to the inside of the box. The top of the box is decorated with the 3 inner dies from the Intrica Dotty Lace die set. I trimmed the sides off the large die to fit the top of the box. I threaded ribbon through the holes in the small die.<br />
<br />
The All my love sentiment is from the Indulgence Affections die range. I finished off with a few roses made from Petal Pairs punches.<br />
<br />
Now all you have to do is fill the box with sweets or chocolates and I`m sure it will bring a smile to any Mother's face.<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

It's already limited stock and close to selling out. <br />
<br />
Just thought I'd give you an idea to use up all those toppers left over from kits that are sitting in the bottom of your craft box. I love poppies, so no surprise I chose a poppy topper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzaqyJz5cAGBeS9iWtnQSNSeuASBrvAJtEwyi5baUqiooYIivp8I0Zdhyp8AOUay9eT5uYTI-F17119TMO37JOF5YOmhn-Iz-fxrB_LU15sv-oJE_BdtYwomt15jIw8tVXG77kGYjvsuvC/s1600/DSCF0841.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzaqyJz5cAGBeS9iWtnQSNSeuASBrvAJtEwyi5baUqiooYIivp8I0Zdhyp8AOUay9eT5uYTI-F17119TMO37JOF5YOmhn-Iz-fxrB_LU15sv-oJE_BdtYwomt15jIw8tVXG77kGYjvsuvC/s400/DSCF0841.JPG" /></a></div><br />
For the card base I've folded an A3 card in half (so you have an A4 card) then cut it on half horizontally leaving two A5 cards that open on the side. Hope that makes sense.<br />
I've cut approximately an inch from the front opening edge of the card and punched a border using the Rose Circle border punch.<br />
<br />
I then punched a strip in white using the Rose Circle strip punch. I placed a piece of red A5 paper into the back of card and added the punched strip to the edge.<br />
<br />
I used the Dotty lace die set to make the frame using the large outer frame and the large back plate.<br />
<br />
To finish off I added a black ribbon and bow and a Hunkydory Poppy topper.<br />
<br />
Join Jodie at 6pm on Create and Craft for more inspiration<br />

I really don't know where this month has gone. I had a wonderful time in Stitches & Hobbycraft show at the NEC. I enjoyed meeting all our Tonic customers and having a good giggle. <br />
<br />
Friday sees the launch of our new Intrica dies and punches. Here's a card to share with you.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHsv14-rQNb-uOHg7L6Ilp9-SKiCf70EW5H_g7bSdOG3yVFrs4Upa6SrY0oO4M5av-bku2_9-0SqinfcJpi8SKieyFQZM56obnYqca6bkDvK-MFb45l32MBt9Cv-Ow_xpcorNCpju98oa6/s1600/DSCF0839.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHsv14-rQNb-uOHg7L6Ilp9-SKiCf70EW5H_g7bSdOG3yVFrs4Upa6SrY0oO4M5av-bku2_9-0SqinfcJpi8SKieyFQZM56obnYqca6bkDvK-MFb45l32MBt9Cv-Ow_xpcorNCpju98oa6/s400/DSCF0839.JPG" /></a></div><br />
This card shows the Intrica Rose Circle dies. The dies are Verso (as you would expect from Tonic) I've cut the outer circle from the front of the card. Inside the card I`ve glued another piece of card (the same colour) and layered the other dies in the set on this part of the card. <br />
The punched edging is from the Tonic Dotty Lace strip punch. I've cut away part of the edging to make the punch work narrower. Ribbon has been interweaved through the strip.<br />
I`ve added the Happy Birthday design from the Tonic Everyday Sentiments dies and finished off with some ribbon and self adhesive pearls.<br />
<br />
Join Jodie at 12 o'clock for the launch.<br />
<br />
Will be back soon with some more designs.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvPjhK6PFwr2ynQE6ZXdl4pBX3MyPdEuuuf3tOBx2bhkk_EYn_H4PYZp5PqSpMH3BBRWJoiydHGcLsZis3xNfS5LD9zL815MAS5QgfaxeLk0k9heeN6Ts6cL9e5fMu3RFs9YD4pHCWsm3X/s1600/DSCF0708.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvPjhK6PFwr2ynQE6ZXdl4pBX3MyPdEuuuf3tOBx2bhkk_EYn_H4PYZp5PqSpMH3BBRWJoiydHGcLsZis3xNfS5LD9zL815MAS5QgfaxeLk0k9heeN6Ts6cL9e5fMu3RFs9YD4pHCWsm3X/s400/DSCF0708.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The heart on the left of the picture is made using the base heart from the Tonic indulgence Affections On Mothers Day. I`ve cut four of the large heart shapes in white card and four of the decorative large heart in red card. <br />
Stick the red filigree heart on top of the white backing heart. I like to use the Tonic Funky Glue. <br />
When the glue has dried, fold each of the hearts in half.<br />
Glue each half of the hearts to the next. Stick the flat part of the back of the hearts to your card.<br />
<br />
The smaller heart is from the Tonic Indulgence Affection Be Mine set.<br />
<br />
The card is finished off with a bow and some pearls. <br />

<br />
I`ve got an exciting week ahead as I`m off to Craft Hobby & Stitches trade show at the NEC. I just know I`m going to be like a kid in sweetshop. If you`re visiting the show, please come along to the Tonic Studios stand and say hello.<br />
<br />
Thanks for dropping by<br />
Hugs<br />

He never got over loosing my Mother. After almost 50 years together it was an enormous wrench. At least now they are back together.<br />
<br />
It`s not all been doom and gloom though. I am thoroughly enjoying settling into my new job at Tonic. I`m like a kid in a sweet shop, lol.<br />
<br />
I`ve got a card and a frame to share with you today using the same die - EMILY frame die set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9ruhw6fYVvgHfd6osZAT43Be3sxTE9q0d-tWGKhpAV2s2wowZGy3BiUvG5BNGaViY9X8uqQul8rsR3TrIAEBre9VCnztVy_NVeoaPyu27ZVbb8WhMlYtnY8nUVEjmNLDTZ2VcfySn5tfW/s1600/DSCF0760.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9ruhw6fYVvgHfd6osZAT43Be3sxTE9q0d-tWGKhpAV2s2wowZGy3BiUvG5BNGaViY9X8uqQul8rsR3TrIAEBre9VCnztVy_NVeoaPyu27ZVbb8WhMlYtnY8nUVEjmNLDTZ2VcfySn5tfW/s400/DSCF0760.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The Forever Moments range from Tonic just lends itself to using vintage photographs. This one is another cutie. I`ve used an A5 card. The colour combination is not one I would normally use, but I took the colours from the photograph.<br />
Cut a strip of card and punched both sides using the Regal Border punch. The Emily frame fits beautifully around this picture. I`ve finished off with a large bow and two of the small Tonic Layering Butterfly die cuts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlVkgtiiKO43KeVTjNgaOiqaDlnqlL5jynDCzC8gi2CfQhiczr8fL6yZ2g2bx6FQseAkyauxTvmAZcRkkKAD2Be69S_1_hfdZz9H5bMS30DSuxdpvFT6f2JBhdncvCXUK08nFC3srU025h/s1600/DSCF0679.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlVkgtiiKO43KeVTjNgaOiqaDlnqlL5jynDCzC8gi2CfQhiczr8fL6yZ2g2bx6FQseAkyauxTvmAZcRkkKAD2Be69S_1_hfdZz9H5bMS30DSuxdpvFT6f2JBhdncvCXUK08nFC3srU025h/s400/DSCF0679.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I painted the frame using acrylic paint. The baby image was cut out using Tonic Circle Layering dies and the pink layer behind was made using the Scallop Circle layering dies.<br />
All this needed to finish it off was a couple of pearls.<br />
<br />
It`s a horrible night here, wet & windy. So I`m going to light some candles, snuggle up in front of the fire and watch some TV.<br />
<br />
Take Care<br />
Hugs<br />

<br />

We had a quiet Christmas but thoroughly enjoyed.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimxDHA3RJijqzQqT4K1XORV1qA6azDsJ0JFHuG9xryQuh1J08QM3T6dcSBADtXZURnnOn5cB1uH-gdAHbXQUztQ1a4736AaSTSjSxSQJEUhFEujgr6VJHAEXoT3dUzRm6SW443TzfaKzXC/s1600/DSCF0697.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimxDHA3RJijqzQqT4K1XORV1qA6azDsJ0JFHuG9xryQuh1J08QM3T6dcSBADtXZURnnOn5cB1uH-gdAHbXQUztQ1a4736AaSTSjSxSQJEUhFEujgr6VJHAEXoT3dUzRm6SW443TzfaKzXC/s400/DSCF0697.JPG" /></a></div><br />
The front of the card is folded in half and the centre heart suspended on fishing line. The butterflies are made using the Tonic Multi Detail Butterfly punch<br />

I hope you all have a wonderful time.<br />
<br />
Next year will bring a lot of changes for me and I can't say how excited I am to be working as a full time member of the Tonic team. I hope you will stay with me to see the exciting new products Tonic will bring over the next 12 months<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgrdDeWbA_prRp0wD9_OmAGBmDUuRmJCoroxfvZvvAjeX1VpUfAKKcG0rDvebYApRcKmN-UftPQsDY-b-zRBJ4a7FPNRYHsDJHAMIdfPHxLhvPobTqqliWr6_A64sQmbZpvL9gQuQM7K89/s1600/DSCF0711.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgrdDeWbA_prRp0wD9_OmAGBmDUuRmJCoroxfvZvvAjeX1VpUfAKKcG0rDvebYApRcKmN-UftPQsDY-b-zRBJ4a7FPNRYHsDJHAMIdfPHxLhvPobTqqliWr6_A64sQmbZpvL9gQuQM7K89/s400/DSCF0711.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I used an MDF blank from Joanna Sheen`s web site. Painted it white white acrylic paint. The covered it with paper from the Lili of the Valley Country Lady paper pad - the designs in this pad a re gorgeous. I then rubbed a versamark pad around the edges of the of the MDF, sprinkled with gold embossing powder & heated.<br />
<br />
I cut out the large heart from the Tonic Affections dies, cut some Frond Finesse dies, a Fanciful Flourish corner and some Petal Pairs Roses. <br />
<br />
<br />

Here`s a few more designs to share with you.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtfN85iRvB8DRyBecMAsdhq8IOeKTTp-xh0UNnfH08IfpbWj9maT0_hH-NkyYKhf1BUk79YuA-LfJOC5api4lF1-apgbj_DBXFKUlEs1hvJR7sp8-n5hyWsR1foEX7lxZq9gKo5VlVsN9H/s1600/DSCF0709.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtfN85iRvB8DRyBecMAsdhq8IOeKTTp-xh0UNnfH08IfpbWj9maT0_hH-NkyYKhf1BUk79YuA-LfJOC5api4lF1-apgbj_DBXFKUlEs1hvJR7sp8-n5hyWsR1foEX7lxZq9gKo5VlVsN9H/s400/DSCF0709.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I will do a tutorial on how to make this card after Christmas. The initials have been cut on the Cricut machine and the writing on the inside if the card is computer generated. I`ve finished off with a ribbon bow and a few gems.<br />
<br />
<br />
These dies will suit any occasion. Here`s a Birthday card using the large heart die.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGRTsYGXze9Cd11tT-Xzw37xQ8U4-JiiG0H7A0r8MYZTEYTN-4ekGV-U0-oq9K4iWkQKLC0Os2Adch4WdqcfF5ISn8pQB3fqp3870ZxpS78R5hdEXDBKUH62_fE_A_l1ETFSIvYTQ7B3q3/s1600/DSCF0716.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGRTsYGXze9Cd11tT-Xzw37xQ8U4-JiiG0H7A0r8MYZTEYTN-4ekGV-U0-oq9K4iWkQKLC0Os2Adch4WdqcfF5ISn8pQB3fqp3870ZxpS78R5hdEXDBKUH62_fE_A_l1ETFSIvYTQ7B3q3/s400/DSCF0716.JPG" /></a></div><br />
I love making these diorama cards and the dies make it so easy. Take two A5 cards score the outer edges of both cards at 1" and 1.5". Place the 2nd largest heart die into the centre of one of the cards between the score lines. Cut the largest of the heart dies using both the core dies I`ve placed a strip of acetate across the centre of the back of the heart to attach the sentiment. Place a backing paper between the crease lines of the uncut card. Place the two cards together and stick together the outer inch of the card - I use super sticky tape.<br />
<br />
I`ve punched out some strips using the Tonic Delicate Lattice punch. <br />
<br />
I made some tissue paper flowers using the scallop layering dies. Cut about 6 circle from tissue paper - the paper can be folded and all the circles cut at the same time. Make a small hole in the centre of the flower and secure with a small brad. Scrunch up the petals of the flower and open out a little to make a beautiful flower.<br />
<br />
The Happy Birthday is cut from a Tonic Sentiment die and stuck onto the acetate.<br />
<br />
<br />
Hope your Christmas plans are going well, catch up with you again soon<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />
